I am a US Marine machine gunner in 29 Palms. This is my first review for anything honestly but that just tells you how much credit I want to give AceLink! I got my XL Quadrelease plate carrier and it was slightly too big so I emailed customer support and the next day had all the info to exchange the product for the Large. Very fast! I then called customer support to see the status and ended up talking to a person right away not a robot. He was very helpful and truly listened to my suggestions and is the reason I’m writing this review.
Prior to sending the vest back to exchange it, I wanted to test it slightly. I put a full combat load on it (steel core body armor, 3 dual magazine pouches, 6 fully loaded 5.56 mags, an admin pouch, a green star cluster, an ifak, mag dump pouch, hydration pouch w/ 3 liters of water in a camelback, and a radio) and when I tell you this thing is comfortable, it’s an understatement! I did a little jog around my property and damn it was just hugging my body like a clingy girlfriend. The material is very light but extremely sturdy, stitching was beautiful (no frays in the stitching) and the release latches had a nice audible *click* to them that let you know it’s secure. Can’t wait to use and abuse this product.
Suggestions for product to AceLink:
-Make the Quick Release clips replaceable, instead of sewing the loop that locks the clips in, have a Velcro strap that through the release hole and up onto the shoulder strap under the shoulder pads. To insure it doesn’t lift back up (then offer a repair kit to do a quick fix in the field). Everything wears down eventually!
-Continue making a great product!

All in all it's a great carrier. The quadrelease seems pretty sturdy, doesn't open without pulling the tab so it won't randomly fall off. There's 2 cumberbunds, one is just straight elastic but it only connects to the vest in the back (it's difficult to describe without showing you) which to me seems kinda pointless so I just folded them and tucked them away- then you have the regular cumberbund that attaches the front and back of the vest together. What's nice about them is that they have shock cord between them, so it stays tight on your body, but has room to flex when you sit or breathe deep or whatever, that's a very nice addition. Pocket for the plates are a little taller than they need to be, which isn't a plus or a minus it's just something I noticed. The tubes are super easy to use, getting this on and off is a dream. My only really grip is there's no place to put the regular hard side plates. There's a pocket in the cumberbund that fits their 3a soft panels, but nothing to hold a hard plate in place so you have to buy a pouch to put on the outside of the MOLLE, that's the only major downside to this. Otherwise it's a great piece of gear

This is my second quad release. I got my first one in black, for my job, and because it is so comfortable to wear even with steel plates, I got a second one in desert tan for training and range time.
Now I have a complete identical setup (including pants, jacket, beanie and sniper veil) for both my job and for training.
I looked a very long time for a plate carrier with these features, and this is the only one on the market.And on top of it, it's the cheapest of the top five I was looking at!!!

Con: Quick release mechanism(s). The plastic ones equipped work as intended and are very sturdy for what they are. Only change I’d recommend is switching to a metal construction.

I’m he only downside I encountered was that it left me wishing it had some sort of system incorporated with the cumbre un at the back. Something that keeps it in place and not sliding to one side or the other. I improvised the attachment of some gear to keep it in place.
After wearing it for a while, I also kept thinking of the gap between the locking mechanism on the cumbre un and the front carrier. While I love the quick disconnect, It could use some tweaking as to jot leave that 1.5 inch on either side exposed. Overall, the system is comfortable and looks sharp. I would buy it again. I’m a retired Marine MSgt, This is lighter than what is issued.

I bought this to hold the 10×12 plates from Ace Link and once I figured out how the connectors worked I like the quick connect/disconnect works on the carrier I found it easy to use as well.
If I had any suggestions it would be to include instructions on the buckles and care of the carrier.

Shoulder straps have good padding, but can be an issue for your buttstock of your rifle to your shoulder when shooting. I wish there was more Velcro slack when placing your bullet proof plate in the carrier to make it feel it is secure and won't slip out. With most carriers depending on your use has it's pros and cons. I'm just the avid go to the range gun owner. I like to shoot, practice and be consistent with my aim, drawing my firearm, and do shooting/training exercises with full gear to minimal gear on. In my opinion these are some of the pros and cons I have with this carrier.
PROS
– It significantly has good padding
– It's breathable
– Like most carriers light weight
– Easy to attach your pouches & other tactical accessories
CONS
– Bulky shoulder strap
– Needs more Velcro slack for your bullet proof vest to be secure.
– Easier access to insert side plates into cummerbund
Overall it's an OK carrier for me. I'm pretty sure Ace Link Armor is always doing their best to improvise on their plate carriers that they put out there to please all consumers each and every time the design and build their carriers.
Their Quadrelease feature can be a hit or miss for you. It's just tugging and pulling away from your body and you can quickly take your carrier off. This is good for when you need to perform CPR or attend a wound quickly which I hope this never happens to anyone. Just pull the release tabs and administer aid to the patient where as other carriers you may have to cut the carrier or mess with buckles or Velcro.
I've had a few mishaps when buckling myself into my Quadrelease Tactical Plate Carrier. I want to say I can quickly buckle myself in compared to Velcro cummerbunds but my buddy still beats me with is Velcro cummerbund to my Quadrelease cummerbund. Literally it's only by milliseconds or a second. With that said I hope you find this review helpful.

There is good and bad. Great overall padding & construction, but there is a major design flaw. The inside cumber bun attaches to the side panels. This causes it to bunch up when you put it on, and the front plate is loose and not close to the body. You can't see it in the pictures. It takes some adjustments but, the design of that internal system is flawed. I would not recommend it. There is also only a 2-year warranty. I would spend a little more money and get a tactical tailor one, lifetime warranty and better belt system than this. Sorry for the bad review, I am a retired Marine and SWAT operator and I have used several types of systems. I hope I can get a refund?Your Armor plates are top notch though!

Carrier is pretty good especially for the price. Only thing it needs is straps inside the carrier to hold the plate instead of the two thin strips at the bottom. Should have straps inside to hold the plates also.
Second the cumberbund quick release buckles should be back further to allow the soft insert to be behind the buckle so it doesn't leave a 5 inch unprotected gap on your side.
Shoulder straps could be a little more secure since they flip easy when putting on the carrier.

The plate carrier needs more velcro to hold the plates in place/inside. They only put 2 small pieces so I am afraid that my plates would just fall off. The buckles are kinda hard to take off but maybe in time it'll loosen up. The shoulder straps are flimsy. The only thing I liked about this carrier is the inside padding. I will be using this just for light training till I have the stitching reinforced.

My biggest complaint is that the padding that sits on your shoulders doesn’t always lay right. It twists and has to be adjusted once you put the carrier on. I feel more attention should have been spent on sowing them so that they are less likely to move when putting the carrier on. See picture

Pretty decent manufacturing quality unfortunately, I ordered what I thought would be the right size based on my measurements, but there is no way this thing will fit me. The plate bags aren't bad, but the cummerbund does not fit at all.
But it fits my 10 year old son.
